    ATIṢAṆḌA . After his death Balabhadra Rāma went

    to Pātāla in the guise of Ananta. All the serpents wor-

    shipped him. Among them was a serpent named Ati-

    ṣaṇḍa. (M.B., Mausala Parva, Chapter 4, Verse 16).
