My name is Michaël Meyer, as you might have guessed.

My initial background is that of a musician: I completed a full curriculum at the conservatory and university.

Along the way, however, I became interested in yoga, and from there, in Indian thought and Sanskrit literature. It is the speculations on sound, speech, and language that capture my attention most. Consequently, I am particularly interested in the Sanskrit grammatical tradition (vyākaraṇa) and the non-dual Śaivism of Kashmir, to which I devoted my PhD thesis.

While learning Sanskrit, I started to write computer programs, mainly in the fields of text processing and search systems. I use a variety of programming languages, but (bare) C was and still is my favorite, because I enjoy low-level optimization. Some of my programs are available on Github.

I also have an aptitude for manuscript correction and typesetting in LaTeX, owing in particular to my developer mindset and a keen eye for detail. I have thus formatted several published works, such as the volume L’espace du sens.
