thitāntarātmā . apuṇyavṛkṣāñchrayate &c. (comm. yeṣāṃ chāyāpi

pāpahetuḥ . te'puṇyavṛkṣāḥ). ² Vicious, wicked; e. g. in the Yoga

Sūtra: maitrīkaruṇāmuditopekṣāṇāṃ sukhaduḥkhapuṇyāpuṇyaviṣayāṇāṃ

bhāvanātaścittaprasādanam (one comm. apu° = apuṇyavat; an-

other = apuṇyaśīla).

2. n. (-ṇyam) Impurity; e. g. Mitākṣ.: aprakāśitātmano
