-tam) An uneducated mode of laughing,
a manner in which low people would laugh, as ‘with tears
coming into the eyes’ (‘nīcānāmapahasitam…apahasitaṃ
sāsrākṣam’); mentioned in Rhetoric as one of the vyabhicā-
ribhāvāḥ or accessory conditions of the Comic (or hāsyarasa).
