apāṃkta, pāṃkteya, pāṃktyaa. ‘Not in the same row or line’; especially one who is not allowed by his castemen to sit in the same row with them at meals; degraded, excommunicated, excluded from or inadmissible into society, an outcast; °upahata defiled by the presence of excommunicated or impious persons.
