1. anyá (ausnahmsweise aniá) Adj. (f. ā , n. anyad)
— 1) ein anderer , der andere. Wie para im Gegens. zu ātman und sva. Wiederholt und auf dasselbe Subst. bezogen immer wieder ein anderer. Am Anfange eines Comp. in substantivischer Bed. auch im f. anya. anyaccaund etwas Anderes so v.a. ferner.anyaḥ kaścit oder aścana (ausnahmsweise auch ka allein) irgend ein anderer.anya (oder eka und ka mit cid) — anyader eine - der andere. Bei einer mehr als zweifachen Theilung werden noch apara und die Ordinalia zu Hülfe genommen. Das zweite anya fehlt 94,28. Oft müssig , indem der Gegensatz sich von selbst versteht.
— 2) ein anderer als , verschieden von , mit Abl. , Instr. (? 193,23), anyatas , anyatra , ṛte , vinā , muttkvā , °varjam und °varjitam. In dieser Bed. auch im Comp. nachstehend.
— 3) ein anderer so v.a. ein zweiter (bei Vergleichen) 300,27.
