or conformably to, the chapters (esp. of the vaidik writings),
e. g. (in Lāṭyāyana's Kalpasūtras) anvadhyāyamapavādaniśā-
manam (comm. adhyāyamanu anvadhyāyam . anvadhyāyamapavādo
niśāmayitavyaḥ . anvadhyāyaṃ nyāyyānāṃ chandodaivatasāmāntānā-
mapavādaḥ). 3 In the vaidik language; used in this sense by
Yāska in contradistinction from bhāṣāyām ‘in the classical
