mahokṣaṃ vā mahājaṃ vā śrotriyāyopakalpayet . satkriyānvāsanaṃ
svādubhojanaṃ sūnṛtaṃ vacaḥ [in which passage--Yājnav. 1. 109
--the reading satkriyānvāsanaṃ seems preferable to the read-
ing satkriyāṃ cāsanaṃ, since the Mitākṣara explains: tasmi-
nnupaviṣṭe paścādupaveśanamanvāsanam, considering in the latter
half of the Śloka the words as nominatives (with an ellipsis
kartavyā &c.) satkiyā . anvāsanaṃ &c.]. 2 A manufactory, a
place where artisans work (‘karmaśālā ca kārūṇāmanvāsana-
