-yaḥ) Necessary association, a connexion
which is the result of reasoning; e. g. ityevaṃ padārthānusamayo
'bhyupetavyaḥ . na tu kāṇḍānusamayaḥ ‘thus the connexion (be-
tween the subjects of discussion) results from the bearing
of the words, not from the circumstance that they are named
