anuprāsa

E. anu and pra before as to be, affix cañ.

letters, syllables or words, alliteration or rhyme; an alaṃ-

kāra or mode of writing elegantly, so far as the sound is

concerned (see śabdālaṃkāra) with five varieties; see chekānu-

prāsa, vṛttyanuprāsa, śrutyanuprāsa, antyānuprāsa and lāṭānuprāsa;

see also udbhaṭānuprāsa. E. anu and prāsa or as with pra and

anu, kṛt aff. ghañ.
