    anupasarga I. Tatpur. m. (-rgaḥ) (In Grammar.) A particle which (or

    when it) is not an upasarga (q. v.), for instance antar in com-

    pounds like antarvaṇa, or abhi, pari in formations like abhi-

    sāvakīyati, parisāvakīyati, when abhi and pari do not quali-

    fy the radical su but the denom. sāvakīyati. E. a neg. and upasarga.

    II. Bahuvr. m. (-rgaḥ) 1 Without an upasarga q. v. (as a radical).

    2 Without obstruction, free from impediment; an epithet of

    īśvara. E. a priv. and upasarga.
