anupadha Bahuvr. m. (-dhaḥ) Not preceded by a letter (liter.

having no penultimate; as a sibilant or h which may be

doubled if they are followed by a consonant and not pre-

ceded by a letter; e. g. śścotantyabhitaḥ, hhvayāmyagnim). E. a

priv. and upadhā; scil. ūṣman.

anupadha an-upadha, as, m. (having no

penultimate), a letter or syllable (as a sibilant or h)

when not preceded by another.
