anupada I. Bahuvr. m. (-daḥ) A proper name (explained by a

comm. anugataṃ padamasya); his descendants are called anupadāḥ

or ānupadayaḥ.

II. Tatpur. n. (-dam) A burden, a word or passage repeated.

III. Avyayībh. (-dam) ¹ Upon the foot, after, immediately
