anukṣattṛ

anukṣattṛ Tatpur. m. (-kṣattā) (ved.) ¹ The follower or servant

of a charioteer. ² The follower or servant of a doorkeeper.

anukṣattṛ anu-kṣattṛ, tā, m. the door-

keeper's or charioteer's mate or attendant.

anukṣattṛ m. (ttā) The attendant of a door-keeper or charioteer.

anu-kṣattṛ́ tā, m. a doorkeeper's or charioteer's mate or attendant, VS.

anukṣattṛ m. (-ttā) The attendant of a door-keeper or charioteer.

Anu-kṣattṛ. — This word occurs in the list of victims at the

Puruṣamedha,¹ and means, according to Mahīdhara,² ‘an

attendant on the door-keeper,’ and, according to Sāyaṇa, ‘an

attendant on the charioteer’ (sārathi). See also Kṣattṛ.
