the same as ānuṣuka. (Some read instead of this word anu-
sūyaka which seems to be wrong, others anuṣūka which is
doubtful. Compare also ānusuka.) E. The Gaṇaratnama-
hodadhi derives anuṣuka from anusū and ka (from kai) with
a short vowel before kaḥ anuṣuvatīti anuṣū . taṃ kāyatīti
anuṣuka . ke'ṇa iti hrasvatve; this application, however, of
Pāṇ. VII. 4. 13. to the etym. given, seems very objectionable.
