    Goldstücker Sanskrit-English Dictionary

    p. 124, col. 1.
    antarjala I. Tatpur. n. (-lam) 1 The water in the interior; e. g.

    of a cloud, stambhitāntarjalaughaḥ. 2 The interior of the water;

    comp. madhyejala; but antarjale may be taken also as two

    separate words, e. g. antarjale ubhe sandhye prāṇāyāmena śuddhyati

    (where the neglect of Sandhi °le u° is either a misprint

    in the Mitākṣara or a liberty of Parāsara who in a pre-

    vious verse writes mayūrameṣau hatvā ca ekabhaktena śuddhyati (for

    it seems impossible to interpret antarjale in that passage

    otherwise than as a locat. of a Tatpur. or as antar and jale).

    II. Avyayībh. (-lam) In the water. E. antar and jala.
