antaḥpurasahāya Tatpur. m. (
-yaḥ) An assistant belonging to
the gynæceum or inner apartments (compare sthāpatya); such
assistants are: ‘dwarfs, eunuchs, Kirātas or mountaineers
--retained as guards--Mlechchhas or barbarians, Abhī-
ras, the mock-brother-in-law of a king--i. e. the brother
of his concubine--humpbacks, mutes &c. E. antaḥpura and
sahāya.
