anatidṛśya Tatpur. m. f. n. (
-śyaḥ-śyā-śyam) (ved.) Not pellucid,
untransparent. E. a and atidṛśya (from dṛś with ati,
kṛtya aff. yat); but more probably, ‘very invisible, very
indiscernible’ from a neg. and ati-dṛśya, instead of atya-
dṛśya. A similar transposition occurs in the vaidik word
anatyudya.
