    anakadundubhi Bahuvr. m. (-bhiḥ) A name of Vasudeva, the

    father of Kṛṣṇa. More usually written ānakadundubhi,

    but given also with the short initial by some commentators

    of the Amarakosha. E. anaka (instead of ānaka) and dundu-

    bhi ‘because the gods beat the Anaka-drums in his house

    when Kṛṣṇa was born’.
