    nation seems doubtful.--(The use of the femin. anaḍvāhī

    would be restricted, according to one authority, to the

    Vedas, while others do not make any distinction between

    this form and anaḍuhī. In Avyayībh. compounds, the com-

    pound terminating with anaḍuh assumes the samāsānta aff.

    ṭac (see anaḍuha) and in Bahuvr. compounds, the samā-

    sānta aff. kap (see anaḍutka); in the latter, however, it

    may also retain its original form, with the following de-

    clension in the neuter: sing. anaḍut, du. anaḍuhī and plur.

    anaḍvāṃhi.) E. anas, with s changed to ḍ, and vah (from

    vah, kṛt aff. kvip) with samprasāraṇa of v; in the fem.

    with aff. ṅīṣ.
