An-īśvara, as, ā, am, without a superior; un- checked, uncontrolled, paramount; without power, powerless, unable; not belonging to the deity; athe- istical. —Anīśvara-tā, f. or anīśvara-tva, am, n. absence of a supreme ruler. —An-īśvara-vādin, ī, m. an atheist, one who denies a supreme ruler of the universe.
