    akaraṇaṃ [kṛ-bhāve lyuṭ na. ta.] Not doing, absence of action; akaraṇāt maṃdakaraṇaṃ śreyaḥ; cf. the English phrases “Something is better than nothing,” “Better late than never”.

    2 Devoid of all organs, epithet of the Supreme Spirit.
