akṣayyaa. [kṣetuṃ śakyaṃ; kṣi-yat; na. ta.] That which cannot decay, imperishable; tapaḥṣaḍbhāgamakṣayyaṃ dadatyāraṇyakā hinaḥ Ś. 2. 13; astyatra bhogyavastuvarṣaśatenāpyakṣayyaṃ Dk. 109 inexhaustible. Comp.—udakaṃ a libation of water mixed with honey and sesamum, offered in Śrāddha ceremonies after the piṃḍadāna (akṣayyodakadānaṃ tuarghyadānavadiṣyate . ṣaṣṭhyaiva nityaṃ tatkuryānna caturthyā kadācana). —navamī the 9th day of the bright half of Āśvina.
