agnīṣomapraṇayana

agnīṣomapraṇayana Tatpur. n. (-nam) Carrying forth the fire and

the Soma; a ceremony in the Jyotiṣṭoma sacrifice which

takes place after the Vaisarjana homa (q. v.) and consists

in taking the fire from the Prāchīnavaṇśa (q. v.) Manḍapa

and carrying it to the Āgnīdhra (q. v.) Manḍapa, and in

the same time taking the Soma from the Prāchīnavaṇśa

and carrying it to the Havirdhāna Manḍapa, a building

erected in the Saumikī Vedi (q. v.). See also agnipraṇayana.

agnīṣoma-praṇayana n. bringing out the fire and the Soma, a ceremony in the Jyotiṣṭoma sacrifice.

agnīṣomapraṇayana (agnīṣoma + praṇayana) n. das Herbeibringen des Feuers und des Soma. So heisst nach SĀY. zu AIT. BR. 1, 30. die Ceremonie, in welcher ein Feuerbrand in dem Feuer (āhavanīya), das unter der Thüre des prācīnavaṃśa (s. d.) flammt, entzündet und auf das āgnīdhrīya gelegt und gleichzeitig der Soma von eben dorther zu dem havirdhāna (s. d.) geschafft wird.
