abhyāsavikāra

abhyāsavikāra Tatpur. m. (-raḥ) (In comm. on Pāṇini.) The

change (esp. of the vowel) in the syllable of reduplication;

(as Guṇa or prolongation of the vowel in such a syllable

of the intens. verbs: cecīyate, lolūyate, pāpacyate, yāya-

jīti); e. g. a Vārtt. to Pāṇ.: na vābhyāsavikāreṣvapavāda-

syotsargabādhakatvāt; or a Paribhāṣā: abhyāsavikāreṣvapa-
