near, approaching, esp. with a hostile intention; attacking,
assailing; comp. abhiyā.
2. m. (-n) An enemy, an aggressor; (a various, but
less correct reading of abhiyāti in Hemachandra); comp.
abhiyātṛ. E. yā with abhi, kṛt aff. śatṛ.
