as abhiṣyandin; the change of s to ṣ in this deriv. of
syand, pref. abhi, being optional, if it applies to inanimate
objects; if it is used, however, of living beings the form
should be only abhisyandin (Pāṇ. VIII. 3. 72.). Comp.
