Abhi-pratārin Kākṣa-seni is mentioned in the Jaiminīya Upaniṣad Brāhmaṇa,1 the Chāndogya Upaniṣad,2 and the Pañcaviṃśa Brāhmaṇa,3 as engaged in discussions on philo- sophy.
