    to Pali phaṇa-hatthaka Vin. i.91.11, interpreted SBE 13.225

    as having hands like a snake's hood; comm. 1027.1 yassa

    vaggulipakkhakā (bat's wings) viya aṅguliyo saṃbaddhā

    honti.
