    aṃti ind. [aṃt-i] Ved.

    1 Near, before, in the presence of; na hī nu vo maruto aṃtyasme Rv. 1. 167. 9; 1. 79. 11.

    2 (Prep.) To, in the vicinity of (with gen.); mugdhaprabhītavadupeyaturaṃti mātroḥ Bhāg.

    tiḥ f. An elder sister (in dramas).

    gṛhaṃ a house near one's own dwelling, the neighbourhood of the house.
