ataevoktaṃ bṛhatsaṃhitāyām “salilamaye śaśini rave-
rdīdhitaya” iti “mūrttitve parikalpitaḥ śaśibhṛta” iti
bṛhajjātake ca . “agniṃ vāvādityaḥ sāyaṃ praviśatīti”
“udyantaṃ vāvādityamagniranusamārohatīti” ca śrutau
agnau sūryyāṃśupraveśābhidhānam . ata eva māghe tasya
tviṣāṃ patitvena tasyāstamaye tāsāmanumaraṇārthaṃ jvalanapraveśa
uktaḥ . yathā “rucidhāmni bharttari bhṛśaṃ vimalāḥ para-
lokamabhyupagate viviśuḥ . jvalanaṃ tviṣa iti” . evaṃ
aṃśusvāmī tviṭpatiprabhṛtayo'pyatra .
